[ These days with nothing happening were the best - the days where it almost felt everything was okay. What, with the fact that the two of them - Thancred and Urianger - had been having odd dreams. Dreams of some Scion stuff - being heroes, aids to some adventurer.

But that couldn't be right, could it? Neither of them knew of Eorzea. No, Urianger was the soft prince of the faerie realm, and Thancred was his soft knight - and consort. (He was wed to Moenbryda, the faerie queen, the queen of the moon.) Still, those dreams were soft.

And today, Urianger had called Thancred away from training. Waiting for him, ready to kiss him all over. (He knew Thancred would likely miss some time with the traveling bard Lahabrea [the Speaker, from some far-away land or another], but there would always be another time.) Besides, Urianger wanted to cuddle those scales of his dear mermaid knight, who turned to a man on land. ]

To be out there, actively protecting those we love? I feel much the same way. And… I would like to be there with you- to be your shield.

To protect me, no matter what... well, I'd not want you hurting too much, Thancred.

I know, and I appreciate it. Would you protect me as well, then? [He nuzzles into Urianger, reaching up to cup his cheek.]

[ Gently, Urianger leaned onto the other - beginning to trace and create flowers on the other. ] Of course. I would protect you, and you would protect me. Why would things need to change?

Oh, I love you.

[He makes a soft sound, reaching out to put an arm around Urianger as he considers the flowers. He touches one gently- could he take it and put it on Urianger?]. We both wish to see each other safe- so they would not.

I love you, too. [He presses a gentle kiss to Urianger's forehead.]. Whenever you need me- or want me- I'll be here.
